Las Cruces, Las Cruces, here we come, right back where I started from.
We'll be home on Friday, looking forward to a great time and a big show at Hurricane Alley. We have some new tunes and new merch to show you guys out there. I haven't posted anything in a while but I hope everybody got to read the radio explanation. Mama has started strong, it is generating a lot of interest from people who could really help us out....more on that another day.
We'll have some new faces on stage with us this weekend. Steve Bernal on bass and Daniel Jones on drums will be holding it together for Kris and I. Kristi is going to be on stage with us singing the harmonies and a few of her own as well, look forward to that.
Thanks are in order to lots of people since I last wrote here. Here are a few names that should be mentioned: Kyle and Nici, Bart Crow, Aaron Zoeller, Matt, Amber, and Dave at KHTZ, Clay Neumann, and any and everybody calling in requesting "Mama".
We'll be here and there this month, it should be a good few weeks coming up. Try to catch the Poodie's show if you can. We'll be "Goin' Down" there on Sept. 9th, followed by a George's show the next night. If you make both of those shows, consider yourself a true fan.
I'll try to get back on the ball and have something new to report each week, but until then you know what to do. Thank you for your support, we need it now more than ever.

Hola. How is it wherever you are? I can't complain. I had a great weekend, got some good songs written. Ryan came down for a couple of nights, and we penned some good stuff, you'll get to hear it soon.
We'll be in Waco and College Station this week. July was a good month, we had some great shows. I got to play with Chris Knight, Randy Rogers, Peter Dawson, and Stoney LaRue. Not bad, eh? August will be pretty good, too. We'll be gettin' back up to see you Ft. Worth. It's been a couple of months.
"Mama" is out to radio, call in and ask for it. We begin the spin game again. For those of you who don't know, we release the single to get it 'charted'. There is a specific Texas Music Chart that keeps track of regional acts like us, and breaking the top 50 on that chart is our primary goal. We need around 300 spins (times played) in order to break the top 50. We got that many with "South of the Border", the issue comes in the reporting. DJ's fill out weekly spin reports that they send to the chart, when you are new artist you must be hand written onto the report. DJ's are busy people, and getting them to remember to write a new artists spin counts can be difficult. That is why is so important that we hound the radio stations with requests for our music. The more they hear the words Josh Grider Band, the more likely we are to have a charted single on our hands.
My wasn't that informative.
Come see us, we'll try to get close to where you are. See you soon.
Josh
