Hello friends. It's Monday after a good weekend. Thanks to all who came out to see the shows. We are making new friends every step of the way. I have to give a shout to Ragtop, thanks for bringing the crowd in Houston. Tavern in the Gruene was a blast as well, thanks for the support. I guess I haven't posted anything since the George's weekend either, that was a great time. Big time thanks to all the hard core fans who come out everytime we land there.
It was funny how I found myself at George's again on last Wednesday after the show I got to play with Brandon, Ryan, Peter, and Randy in Elm Mott. Jason Uehlinger was just getting ready to close up shop and go write a speech, he had a mixed expression of why did you guys just show up here, and I'm so glad you guys just showed up when we got there. It was odd to be at George's and have elbow room.
I have to say thanks to the Randy Rogers Band, Brady and Randy especially for being real cool. In the face of growing success they seem not to have let it get to their heads. Randy and I are aquaintences at best, but the courtesy and respect he and Brady showed the guys playing before him was really stand up. Thanks for yet another opportunity Brad.
We're headed to Elm Mott this coming weekend to do a show with Stoney LaRue, I think it is a Galleywinter fucntion so that rocks, always tons of folks at those. Hope you are well wherever you are reading this, take it easy, we'll see you soon.

Mercy, it has been a while. How are things wherever you are? Come to George's this weekend, but get there early, it's going to be crazy. If you'll recall the blog from the last time we were there, things can get out of hand in Waco. From Waco it is on to Livingston for an acoustic Sunday show at a place called the Wet Deck. I don't know a whole lot more about it than that. We rarely make it out to east TX so come out if you can.
I'd like to put out an APB for a bass player. We need one. Using three and four different guys is tough, if you know somebody that sings high harmony and plays a mean bass, give my number. All the bass players that we've used have been excellent, and cool guys, but it always seems like something is coming up that gets in the way of making it happen. C'est la vie, that's the music business for you.
We had a great 4th of July weekend. Kelly, Big Jon, Chris, Em, Nick, Chip, Jason, Ash, Josh, Zach, Steve and crew, and all those that I am not mentioning simply because I can't remember, thanks for coming and floating and hanging out in a hot spot (literally) with us. We hope to a lot more of you guys. For anyone who won tickets on the radio and didn't get to meet up with us, you have to believe that was out of my hands and I apologize sincerely. If I could get your names and email addresses we'll make sure we make that up to you guys. Sunday at the Saxon Pub with Chris Knight was pretty awsome too.
The calendar continues to fill and our mega-fame grows ever closer...hey something has to be the motivating factor here. I don't know if I've mentioned Brad from Galleywinter.com on this blog or not. If I haven't he is one of the driving forces behind that website and is an awsome member of HTJGBC (Help the Josh Grider Band Club). His birthday party is the 13th of July and he invited Randy Rogers, Peter Dawson, Brandon Jones, Ryan Sanders and myself to come play it. We'll all be playing acoustic, but it should be a great time. It will be at DJ's Bar in Elm Mott (where?). Elm Mott is just a couple of miles north of Waco on 35, come if you can.
Keep up with the calendar, don't be afraid to sign the guestbook and thanks for supporting. We couldn't do it without you. See you in Waco, or somewhere soon. Peace out.
Josh
