Well, we have an album cover. Hopefully it will be up on the myspace and website in the next couple of days. We inch closer and closer to having a new record out. It is a very different project from the last album, but it's been two years and a lot has happened. I am anxious for folks to hear it.

I want to say congrats to my great friend Derrick and new friend Laura. They were married this past Friday and should be in St. Lucia as I type. I was in the wedding and it was a traditional Scottish wedding. I wore a kilt, but I didn't wear it "true" as they say. I have to admit it was a very free feeling to wear a kilt, you catch a breeze every now and again and it feels pretty good. Using a urinal while wearing a kilt is an interesting adventure, but we all made it. I found out people who love kilts hate to hear them called dresses or skirts, and people who have never worn kilts can't help but refer to them as skirts or dresses. It can cause tension, but there were no fights over the issue. Anyways, congrats D and L!

I'm real busy this week, a gig every night except for Friday. Check out the calender, I don't think the Monday show is up but I'll be at Antone's with Walt Wilkins and the Mystiqueros. The rest of the week is on the calender, come hang out.

There is much to look forward to in the coming months. The album obviously, but before that, Kristi and I are taking a little tour/vacation out through the west. I'll be gone about three weeks in all. Another friend of mine is getting married in San Francisco, so we decided to drive out and play shows on the way and way back. Most of my family and friends are out west, so we are going to take time to stop in and see people, play shows and just take in this beautiful country. A couple of weeks after we are back the album will come out and then I'll put a band back together for a CD release tour and we'll be playing up and down the line trying to sell some of the new album.

That's all I got right now. Much to do, but better to be busy than to be bored.
